Carrick, who won five Premier League titles during his playing career at Old Trafford, highlighted the quality brought in during the summer. „The players they've added give the squad real balance,”he said. „There's belief, there's hunger, and that's what matters most.”While admitting that clubs like Manchester City and Liverpool possess deeper rosters, Carrick insisted United's core remains formidable. He pointed to the leadership group and the experience within the dressing room as key differentiators. „You can't measure everything by squad size. Mentality, character, and unity often decide titles,”Carrick added.

Can United close the gap on their rivals?

Despite losing ground in recent seasons, Carrick stressed that United's trajectory is upward. „They've made smart moves, and the manager has them playing with confidence again,”he noted. The former England international believes the psychological edge United once held over domestic opponents is slowly returning. Carrick also emphasized the importance of consistency, suggesting that avoiding the slip-ups of previous campaigns will be crucial. „If they stay competitive in every game, the league is very much up for grabs,”he said.

Looking ahead, Carrick expects United to be genuine contenders by the new year. „This squad has the tools to challenge. It's about executing when it counts,”he concluded.

Can Manchester United win the Premier League this season? Yes, according to Carrick, if they maintain consistency and capitalize on key moments.
