Running pace calculator
Fill in two of the three values — distance, time, pace — and leave the third blank. The calculation fills it in and gives you the splits.
Race pace is not training pace. Easy volume runs sit 60–90 seconds per kilometre slower than 10 km race pace, and running every session too fast is the most common beginner mistake.
Frequently asked questions
What is a negative split?
Running the second half faster than the first. It produces the most personal bests, because it avoids burning out early.
How do I convert min/km to min/mile?
Multiply the kilometre pace by 1.609. A 5:00/km pace is about 8:03/mile.
Why does my watch pace differ from the official one?
GPS measures the line you actually ran, which is nearly always longer than the officially measured course, because you do not run the racing line through bends.
